Shared Responsibilities¶
Online Services responsibilities commonly include:
- Website development, maintenance, and production support
- Hosting and server administration
- DNS, SSL, CDN, firewall, and Cloudflare configuration
- GitHub repositories and deployment automation
- APIs, data synchronization, and third-party integrations
- Analytics, tag management, pixels, and reporting
- Search engine optimization and AI-search visibility
- Accessibility improvements and testing
- Security, performance, backups, and incident response
- Vendor transitions and preservation of operational knowledge
SEO work may support the full portfolio, with current priority focused primarily on naspo.org and naspovaluepoint.org.
Ownership Principle¶
Online Services should be able to operate and support each system without relying on undocumented knowledge held by an outside vendor or one team member.
When a configuration, dependency, procedure, or system behavior is discovered, it should be documented in OSKB at the narrowest level where it remains useful.
